3. The highest fraternity GPA on campus (2006)
Here at the Indiana Lambda Chapter we strive to promote academic excellence. We have many programs for our members to help them succeed in college including, but not limited to, study hours, quiet hours, class resource files, 24hr quiet hours during finals week, and speakers dealing with many topics that are relevant to college students. We also offer reductions towards dues for academic excellence. Our Chapter’s overall GPA is consistently above the all men’s average.
2. Phi Delta Theta’s housing is alcohol free
We believe that alcohol is not what our fraternity has to offer an individual, and this is largely what Greeks are known for now. We also believe that there is a misconception about the Greek system today, and someone has to be the leader in changing this image. Further, we want to provide a better facility for our members and a more conducive area for scholarship enrichment. This can benefit our chapter by allowing our members to live in a facility that is more conducive to developing skills that are important after college. Instead of spending money repairing our chapter house, we can use those funds for scholarships for our members, or to plan other off-site social events. We will also have more time for studying and community service events.
1. We Are The Standard For Brotherhood!
The men of Phi Delta Theta share a commitment- To the intense bond of friendship between brothers, high academic achievement, and living life with integrity. A Phi Delt has high expectations of, and for, himself and his brothers. He believes that one man is no man. It is within our rituals that these expectations and values are outlined. Our ritual is sacred and secret. Only men who become members of Phi Delta Theta are allowed to take part in these ceremonies. They are the foundation of our great fraternity and therefore we hold them in the highest regards.
