An innovative
and dynamic way to support the
Indiana Lambda chapter of Phi
Delta Theta through
tax-deductible, charitable
contributions to the Phi Delta
Theta Educational Foundation.
Phi Delta
Theta Fraternity, at the
University of Southern
Indiana, recently created a
project to start a scholarship
fund in honor of our two
deceased fraternity brothers,
Charles R. Bergwitz and Carl A.
Jones. With their hard work and
dedication to Phi Delta Theta,
these brothers need to be
remembered forever. The
scholarship fund will be given
out annually to a member of the
fraternity who demonstrates
excellent academics, leadership,
and chapter involvement.
The Indiana
Lambda Fund - Creating
Leadership for a Lifetime
The Indiana Lambda chapter was
chartered on October 11, 1986,
on the campus of University of
Southern Indiana.
In 2006, as
Indiana Lambda celebrated 20
years of brotherhood and
leadership, the Indiana Lambda
Fund is being established with
the Phi Delta Theta Educational
Foundation, thus ensuring a
lasting legacy of Indiana Lambda
and Phi Delta Theta upon the
University of Southern Indiana
campus and in the Evansville
community.
The Indiana
Lambda Fund will serve the
following purpose:
Undergraduate Scholarships
Providing scholarships would
promote those ideals of strong
leadership and high scholastic
achievement. It would insure
that members of the chapter who
exhibit those qualities and
provide outstanding leadership
to the chapter, campus and
community would be rewarded
every year. Recently, the
chapter met its $10,000 goal in
order to permanently endow a
scholarship that will be awarded
annually to a deserving
undergraduate Phi from Indiana
Lambda Fund.
