The Phi Delts Do it Again
Posted on 10.12.09Tuesday the Phi Delts did it again with excellent leadership and great athleticism. Advancing to the semi-finals which is the farthest the team has ever advanced. The team once again performed well under pressure. Led by solid defense by Shortstop Drew Mathews, pitcher Joe Boesing and third Baseman Joe Wade. The sticks were going tonight in the 9-6 win over the Cleveland Steamers. Joe Boesing went 3-3 sparking a rally in the 3rd inning which sparked the team to overcome a 1-3 start in the game. Drew Mathews stopped the Steamers from gaining momentum with his over the shoulder diving catch in the 4th inning where he showed his ranged and why he is arguably the best SS in the tournament.
