Alumni Dominate Annual Softball Game
Posted on 04.16.09The sun was shining, and the grass was green. The weather was great for, “World Beeries,” the annual alumni vs. actives softball game. It was a hard-fought battle for those on and off the field, but the alumni prevailed with a decisive victory against the actives. Nearly all active members and about 25 alumni came to play, hangout, and enjoy the game. Even Bond #001, Marc Duhe, made an appearance to cheer on the alumni. Phi Delt prides itself in its athletic ability; however, several Brothers were brought to a serious reality check. Fly balls proved challenging for numerous Brothers, but thankfully they were able to regain their pride at the post game dinner at Turoni’s Pizzeria. Dinner was followed by a get-together at the house of Brother Jeremy Schnepper #293. The active members look forward and promise to come out stonger than ever to redeem themselves with a victory next year.
